Lolas Home and Living the beginning of something special

The idea of starting our new business came from our love of a cosy home. Our first home was a 1960's labourers cottage in the country side of County Louth, Ireland which required major renovation. While being respectful of its era and also trying to modernise the home the task threw up its fair share of obstacles along the way. The construction work was all complete and it was time to put our own stamp on this little gem. The theme was quite neutral with beige and creams flowing through the home with a few pops of colour here and there. Over the years the creams drifted out and blues, greens and other colours drifted in. Finding suitable decor such as lamps, ornaments and unique pieces took time. Picking up bits along our travels, in stores across UK and Ireland. 

Roll on 10 years Kim and I decided it was time to bring high quality gifts and homewares to one place to simplify the experience of decorating your home. We have attended numerous trade shows, met with potential suppliers and sales representatives.  We aim to focus on high quality pieces and be unique in the products we offer. All that was left was to create the name, the foundation we build our brand. 

One evening over a cup of tea we began chatting about the lady of our house, the boss of the home, the one that keeps us on our toes, lying on her bed staring back at us.
